Ice Caps 02:23
Sun's rays pour through the atmosphere Straight into the northern hemisphere And so the ice caps keep going down down d-down down down They say we're not the cause of this But still i think it would be quite remiss To say the ice caps ain't going down down d-down down down We could have the future we want It's all in our hands But we just sit here and legislate And for all we know it could be much too late Because the ice caps keep going down down d-down down down We could be so happy If we can survive But instead we stuff down hamburgers In our souped up air conditioned cars While the ice caps keep going down down d-down down down While the ice caps keep going down down d-down down down While the ice caps keep going down down down down down down down

Well i was walking in the hood with a piece of wood When a guy in a suit tried to tell me i was up to no good And i said don't you try to hassle me 'cos my ass is on the line There ain't no hope and i just can't cope, otherwise i'm doing fine Screw in the bits, those wooden bits Well Danny and his man said the drop off was at seven Playing with the handle till a quarter to eleven Finally the deal was made and i was in the clear So i packed the bits away and i opened myself a beer Screw in the bits, those wooden bits Ah ah ah! Woah woah woah! Thought i'd mosey on down to the Clipper Cafe There was a girl there, she was a stripper by day By night she packed a rifle and nobody could tease her Takes a bucket full of trifle and a wetsuit to please her Screw in the bits, those wooden bits

How would it feel if they took away Your internet and TV today? No longer connected to The world you thought you knew And i feel like i'm falling Down, down And then, like a beacon, Your voice... The sound of your voice, it entrances me The world fades away as it passes me And i feel like i'm falling And i feel like i'm falling... Down...

Living Proof 04:17
They say that hugging trees will make you dirty But i believe the opposite is true They say that those who save the Earth have got no style But here's a word of wisdom from me to you I'm living proof I'm living proof I'm living proof That you can be a hippy And still look good They say you can't stay clean around a campfire You can't avoid the wood smoke as a rule But are nuclear fuel and petrol any cleaner? And by using them, does that make you look "cool"? I'm living proof I'm living proof I'm living proof That you can be a hippy And still look good Here come the hippies with their beards and pierced noses And three piece suits Looking very dapper in their tops and tails And army surplus boots Here comes the hippies with their flowers and flowing robes And organic food They may not have all the answers to the problems of today But at least they look good 'Cos i'm living proof I'm living proof I'm living proof That you can be a hippy And still look good

Well, i got no sign of money and no sign of work I've got a hand full of nickels to my name Ain't tryin' to be funny but it ain't about the money It's the humiliation and shame I went down to the bank, i had a full tank And a six gun shooter in my hand I was fully loaded and colour coded And it looked like everything was going grand But the deal went sour and in a quarter of an hour I was running for the border, and my life Before too long that town was gone Along with my bad debts, my house and my wife It's just one more thing i gotta worry about, that's all It's just one more thing i gotta worry about, that's all So i got myself on the road, i had a ways to go Before i found somewhere i could stop and hide Well the flies are buzzing and the heat's just like an oven But at least i'm getting by I gotta tel ya, i fell in with a girl, she was a real pearl And she showed me the error of my ways But she had a man already, they was going steady And he didn;t like the look of my face So now i've got serious issues 'cos the guy's gettin' vicious And i don;t fancy my chances in a fight So i gotta run again and find a new friend When am i ever gonna do something right? Oh, but it's just one more thing i gotta worry about, that's all It's just one more thing i gotta worry about, that's all It's just one more thing i gotta worry about It's just one more thing i gotta worry about It's just one more thing i gotta worry about, that's all It's just one more thing i gotta worry about...

I've stayed sane, so far Though i look the same You just can't see the scars But i'm tired, so tired Tired of it all I've been running From a certain kind of love And it feels like Vengeance from above But i'm tired, so tired Tired of it all It's been a lonely nightmare But now i'm going home I see the light of dawn now I no longer feel alone But i'm tired, so tired Tired of it all

When you told me you were happy, i was happy for you And i looked in your eyes and i saw it was true And we finished our tea, and we both went our way That was a beautiful day When i saw you, much later, things weren't the same You had lost what you'd loved, and you weren't to blame But you smiled and you made us some tea anyway On that not such a beautiful day Sometimes, life isn;t fair Sometimes the things that you need just aren't there And i know you'll be fine, and i know you'll be strong But i know that it hurts, so i wrote you a song And you don't need my pity, you don't need my advice But i you've got the time, well, some tea would be nice And i'll see that you're smiling and that you'll be okay 'Cos it can be a beautiful day And i hope you have a beautiful day
8.
Every day you walk my way I see you strut your stuff And in your arms, your bag of charms As if you needed luck You must know why you've caught my eye Surely it's plain to see My resolve grows with each show Of an express delivery Don't you know my heart's addressed to you, signature only... I'm at your door, i've got some more Parcels for you today You smile and wink which makes me think Of how to make my getaway Don't you know my heart's addressed to you, signature only... I've got to run, no time for fun But later on that day I'm there once more, outside your door I ring the bell and say: Don't you know my heart's addressed to you, signature only...

There you were with your umbrella up Looking into your coffee cup Your shoes were wet, although your hair was dry And you looked like you were about to cry And i came over and i said hello Are you okay, but then you turned to go And i thought that maybe you could use a friend On this dismal, dark and wet weekend I thought that maybe i could share with you My feelings, My thoughts and feelings I'm reeling from my thoughts and feelings It's oh so revealing That my thoughts and feelings are of you, and Thoughts of you could never make me blue When you walked away, you broke my heart I never had the chance to tell you all my thoughts and feelings...

And there you were, eating your lunch on the same park bench as i The way you had your hair cocked to one side made me think "well my oh my!" And i was thinking of saying hello, when you said hello to me We got to talking and i have to admit it made me wanna see See you again Oh yeah! I wanna see you again I got your email, and i gave you mine, and with that we parted ways I sent a note inviting you to my show, but of course i'd waited a couple of days No reply, no reply, baby, what can the matter be? I was charming, and i was polite, did you see something wrong with me? I wanna see you again Yes, i wanna see you again Why won't you see me? Why won't you see me again? We had a lot in common And i wanna see you again Yes, i wanna see you again Again, i wanna see you again!

It's not what i say that matters It's just what i do that counts And if it's my heart that flatters It's my mind that'll hold you to account In all things there is a proper order Will you measure up or let me down again? I didn't think you had it in you And you proved me wrong for a while But before long you showed me You had less substance than style In everything there is a proper order But i didn;t order chaos and pain Now that our lives hang in the balance Will you measure up or let me down again? Weigh up your priorities Can you make the grade? Are you happy here with me Or would you like to trade? But in the end it's all opinion I couldn;t leave you if i tried For though in all things there's a proper order True love can never be denied

about

"Too Cold For Snow" is a collection of more or less acoustic songs which goes hand in hand with my electric album "Vicious Circle". For a good while there Vicious Circle was going to be a double album, but in the end i decided two separate albums, each with a different focus and journey, would be better.

It was, as always, a pleasure to work with several excellent collaborators as well, and my thanks go out to each of them for co-writing and recording the songs on this collection.

I hope you enjoy this collection, and please feel free to share.
