No, A Rainbow

from Honesty And Thorns by Calum Carlyle

/

about

I was a bit fed up of making music that divides by three or four, so I made one that divides by five, but doesn't sound like Brubeck's "Take Five".

lyrics

You don't know a rainbow
Till You've seen a rainbow
You don't know a rainbow, no
You might have a sweet dream
Underneath the moonbeams
Or so it might seem, so

We might never meet again
And i'd lose you as a friend
That would be a crying shame
I don't even know your name

Have you had a birthday?
I once had a birthday
What does that mean? I don't know
Standing by the fireside
Just before the flames died
Basking in the waning glow

When i was a young lad
I did things that were bad
And bad things would come to me
It didn't really matter
If i acted better
Things will come at fate's decree

We might never meet again
And i'd lose you as a friend
That would be a crying shame
I don't even know your name
