IS THAT LOVE?
“Why is love necessary?” asked one sage to another.
“I don’t know, but loneliness is not a good companion” came the answer.
“Have you ever felt as though the smile of a woman makes you shudder inside?”, he asked again.
“Yes… Is that love?”
“Have you seen the sun appearing behind the sea into the morning?”
“Yes… Is that love?”
“Have you watched the moon lighting up the darkest night?”
“Yes… Is that love?”
“Have you appreciated the tenderness of a baby looking for the arms of his mother?”
“Yes… Is that love?”
“Have you tasted the fresh spring water when your thirst is bitter?”
“Yes… Is that love?”
“Have you hugged a friend, putting your soul into it?”
“Yes… Is that love?”
“Have you cried at a time when your dream was breaking?”
“Yes… Is that love?”
“So, then, you know now why love is necessary?”
“I don’t know, but loneliness is not always a good companion” they both concluded, at the same time, as his reflection vanished from the mirror.
