I spent today doing nothing Wasn't even out of bed till 4pm No-one's home or they don't answer I don't really blame them much And the rain's coming down While the dirty dishes pile up Half full or half empty? I might know if i had a clean cup But there's food on the table and i've still got my health I might not have much material wealth But i know i'm gonna be alive tomorrow But i don't understand why i don't feel content I've got a few close friends and i'm paying the rent But i still need something to replace this sorrow inside Well, i thought of you and it made me happy Thinking of you doing things that you like And i hope you do but it's wishful thinking Because we haven't talked for so long Everyone wants something they haven't got But they can't admit the truth Everyone wants something they can't have And i want you

Lost inside this never-ending maze you call your soul You once thought you were master here but now you've lost control You said to me that destiny would guide you on the path But now the sky is darkening as faces twist and laugh You concentrate intently on what you intend to do Though consciously it's plain to see you haven't got a clue And as the day is ending you're backed up against the wall The noise is getting louder as the bombs begin to fall Open your eyes!
3.
Like thin tracing paper i'm looking right through The colours all glisten and fade The fractals combine to make something sublime A balance of light and of shade The universe turns with an audible hum As we soar through the sky in the night Daily we strive, some of us thrive But none of us knows wrong from right Take my advice it's not very nice But you never get nothing for free If you're down on your luck and you can't make a buck I'll make you a nice cup of tea And it's time you owned up to the things that you need Because entropy's bringing you down And the colours all run in the rain and the sun And the universe keeps spinning round
4.
Get up, get up, get up Hurry up and drink a cup Of coffee or tea, it doesn't matter to me Just get up Work till your fingers bleed Got to pay for what you need Feed your family, stay alive It's harder as the days go By myself i try to see what's happening to us In a way i'm only dreaming By myself i try to find a kind of peace of mind But i know it isn't real Get up, get up, get up Hurry up and drink a cup Of coffee or tea, it doesn't matter to me Just get up Work every day God sends And when you reach the end He'll turn his back, you'll get the sack My friend By myself i try to see what's happening to us In a way i'm only dreaming By myself i try to find a kind of peace of mind But i know it isn't real

We slip, we slide, we trip, we glide And all the while we're unknown We fall, we land, on shifting sand And always forget how we've grown The truth seems like something unseen It constantly slips from our gaze But it's us who are changing In different ways To sing our own song, to all get along The same thing since this all began And if we can't have peace, we'll have blessed release At the end of this brief mortal span The truth seems like something unseen It constantly slips from our gaze But it's us who are changing In different ways We slip, we slide, we trip, we glide And all the while we're unknown We fall, we land, on shifting sands And always forget how we've grown In different ways

Hello? Is there anybody there? I can't hear you, are you trying to talk to me? I'm alone here, on a boat i made myself And i don't know just how long i've been at sea Can you speak up? I'm trying to get reception and it's Harder than it looks They didn't teach this When i went to school It didn't say in any of the books That i'd be alone in a crowd Silenced in a world that's too loud Criticised for things i am proud To have done The sound of machines gets louder every day They start to remind me why i sailed away I wanted to lose myself right out at sea To know what it's like to be free Can you speak up? I'm trying to get reception and it's Harder than it looks They didn't teach this When i went to school It didn't say in any of the books That i'd be alone in a crowd Silenced in a world that's too loud Criticised for things i am proud To have done

Ain't gonna be back home Ain't gonna be back home Now i know what i know Never gonna go back there All the love has gone All the love has gone It'd tear my lonely heart out If i was to go back there Walking away from trouble and pain Walking away from you I walk on down the road Walk on down the road Well i take what i can Never wanna be alone I'm gonna take that midnight train Yes i'll take that midnight train And it rains, yes it pours Never going back again Walking away from trouble and pain Walking away from you

Well it's all about the money and it's all about the way you live I'm not tryin' to be funny but you got to have something to give Because this whole wide world you can see Yeah it's tryin' to get the better of me So you gotta pay attention, yeah yeah Yeah you got to, yeah you got to pay attention Now, how can you make a difference? Just pour yourself something to think... The world forever changes and we're staggering on the brink Some people take all of the pie Leaving others to struggle and die So how you gonna make a difference? Yeah you gotta make a difference Come on and yeah yeah yeah, now now, Tell ya, you gotta make a difference, show me how...

We are workers, we are dancers We're together, on our own And that's all you need to know And we try to look for answers As we walk along the road And that's all you need to know And that's all you need to know And that's all you need to know And that's all you need to know Yes, that's all you need to know
10.
Don’t you worry about me Don’t you worry about me Don’t you worry about me Don’t you worry about me You thought that when I left you I wouldn’t have far to fall You should know I’m much stronger More than whole, standing tall Don’t you worry about me Don’t you worry about me Don’t you worry about me Don’t you worry about me Said I’d never find another like you Darl, he’s already waiting at the door I only hope that you’ll find the same Pick your pride up off the floor Don’t you worry about me Don’t you worry about me Don’t you worry about me Don’t you worry about me Those ugly words you said to me, Ripped right from your heart But hey they just went straight through me Looks like I didn’t need you at all Don’t you worry about me Don’t you worry about me Don’t you worry about me Don’t you worry about me Don’t you worry about me Don’t you worry about me Don’t you worry about me Don’t you worry about me

I'm walking home through the bottles and the fag ends It's nearly four in the morning once again You never know so you've got to party when you can But still, you know, you've got to get some sleep Close your eyes As the Sun is waking up You're never here but that's okay because it's only Times like these when i'm down here on my own And time moves so fast that it never catches up to me And that's why i never find the time to get some sleep Close your eyes As the Sun is waking up When i get home at half past four in the morning I'll have to go to sleep all by myself
12.
I'm waiting for the sunset It brings me back the moon Not long until i once more can be Wrapped up in you Your breath brushes soft against my skin It's haunting me slow, slow And you're the only real thing in my world right now I'm all wrapped up in you You keep me warm in the cold and safe in the night And i'm all wrapped up in you I feel like i've come home And i'm all wrapped up in you Legs and arms intertwine Finger curl through my hair Your breath is soft against my ear You told me trust is for fools But your walls begin to crumble You say it like i'm coming home And i know now my place is in your arms I'm all wrapped up in you You keep me warm in the cold and safe in the dark And i'm all wrapped up in you You feel like coming home And i'm all wrapped up in you You keep me warm in the cold and safe in the night And i'm all wrapped up in you I feel like i've come home And i'm all wrapped up in you I'm waiting for the sunset It brings me back the moon Not long until i once more can be Wrapped up in you

about

Most of the songs on this album (nine of them) were written during November 2011. Also, two of the songs were co-written with Emma Saville, using the awesome power of the internet! It was a lot of fun.

I hope you enjoy this album, anyway, and if you do, please play it to your friends and family. Thanks for supporting independent music. :-)
